A clear position on a sensitive matter
Vertical Health Data is a reference third party, not an operator of individual data. We structure care-pathway frameworks — who does what, on which data, with which risks and which levers — disease by disease. We are neither a data warehouse, nor a data-access platform, nor a host.

Five objects, not to be confused
Our credibility rests on the precision of the distinctions that others leave blurred.
- Individual health data — sensitive, identifying, governed by a strict legal regime. VHD does not collect it.
- Collective or aggregated data — useful for understanding a care pathway at the scale of a population, without identifying anyone.
- The framework — the mapping of the stakeholders, media, flows, breakpoints and levers of a vertical. This is our raw material.
- Awareness-raising — informing, training, surfacing lived experience, as part of our statutory purpose.
- Governance — the rules, validations and audit trails that frame everything above.

The HDS frontier, stated in full
As long as this condition is not met, no personal health data enters our work. The frontier is not an intention: it is a documented state.
Vertical Health Data does not collect, host or process any individual health data. The collection of personal health data would be conditional on HDS-certified hosting, which is not in place; it therefore does not take place.

Proof as architecture
We do not measure our seriousness by our declarations, but by what is verifiable. Our decisions, validations and scoping corrections are traced; the proof layer is designed as an append-only log with verifiable integrity. The rigour we ask of the ecosystem, we apply first to ourselves.

Sovereignty and compliance
Hosting in France (OVH). Alignment with the GDPR and national reference frameworks (CNIL, ANSSI). Health data is sensitive data subject to a particular regime: any project involving the processing of personal data is submitted to the prior opinion of our data protection officer.

Anti-capture
No stakeholder — not even our technical partner — holds a privileged position within our frameworks. Partnership agreements are governed by the statutes and validated by the Board of Directors.
